The Mindful Therapist

A Specialist Diploma in the theory and practice of Mindfulness and its therapeutic applications

Our ability to be present, to pay attention with care, patience, kindness and mindful clarity is seen as a common pathway within all therapeutic modalities. This course aims to facilitate a deep personal theoretical understanding and experience of Mindfulness in all its aspects, and how this may powerfully reduce our experience of stress and distress in our lives.

Alongside the development of our own personal practice and learning, emphasis will be given as to how this may be applied directly within the creation and maintenance of deeply healing therapeutic relationships for professionals working in healthcare and other therapeutic settings.

We will also explore how different practices and techniques can be applied in practice with our clients. Our aim is to provide a safe, supportive and nurturing environment within which we may engage together in these ancient, powerful and transformative practices.

The training is experiential and assessment is via participation and journal work. There will be an opportunity to join an ongoing support/supervision group.
