Heartwood provides a range of counselling and psychotherapy services and has an extensive register of therapists available to clients.

What is Counselling?

The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy define counselling on their website they say that:-

"Counselling takes place when a counsellor sees a client in a private and confidential setting to explore a difficulty the client is having, distress they may be experiencing or perhaps their dissatisfaction with life, or loss of a sense of direction and purpose"

An important role of the Heartwood Institute is to match the most suitable therapist from our extensive register of counsellors and psychotherapists, to clients seeking therapy.  All the counsellors and psychotherapists abide by the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) ethical framework.

Our requests for counselling and therapy come from clients themselves, from other agencies and from GP referrals.  We understand that finding the right therapist can be a daunting task for people who are looking for emotional support.  We have a diverse range of therapists and are confident that we can meet each clients individual needs.

Please contact us for further details of this service and we can discuss your personal needs.
